Privacy Policy

This policy covers two things: this website (cosmonautfrog.es) and the games and apps published by Cosmonaut Frog. "We", "us" and "our" refer to Cosmonaut Frog, a one-person indie studio.

1. This website

cosmonautfrog.es is a portfolio and development blog. It has no user accounts, no sign-up, no comments and no contact form.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Like any website, our server records standard technical data for each request (IP address, browser/user-agent, pages visited and timestamps). We use it only to operate the site and keep it secure.
  • Email you send us. If you choose to email us, we process your message and address solely to reply. We don't add you to any list.
  • Anonymous analytics. We use GoatCounter to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal data; we only see aggregate, anonymous figures such as which pages are popular and rough referrers.

What we don't do

We do not run advertising, we do not use tracking cookies, we do not build profiles of you, and we never sell your personal data. The only analytics we use (GoatCounter) is cookieless and anonymous. The site may set strictly necessary technical cookies only in the private admin area (not for normal visitors).

Third-party services

Web fonts are served from our own server (we don't use Google Fonts). The only third party we rely on is GoatCounter, for the cookieless, anonymous analytics described above. The site is hosted on our own server.

Your rights (GDPR)

We're based in the EU. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and you may object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at cosmonautfrog@juanfg.es. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

2. Our games & apps

This section applies to the games and apps we publish (for example on Google Play or itch.io). Each game discloses its specific data practices on its store listing; the points below are the general rules we follow.

Data the games may collect

  • Device information (model, operating system, identifiers) needed for the game to run.
  • Gameplay and usage data (progress, settings, in-game interactions).
  • Crash reports and diagnostics to fix bugs and improve stability.
  • Data handled by third-party SDKs we may use (for example crash reporting, analytics, or store services). Where a game uses such an SDK, it is disclosed in that game's store listing.

Permissions, sharing and children

  • We request only the permissions a game needs to function.
  • We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the service providers/SDKs that operate the game, and with authorities when required by law.
  • In line with Google Play and applicable rules, our games are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Where required, data from minors is handled with parental consent (COPPA).

Data retention & security

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, and we apply reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure.

Third-party links

This site and our games may link to other websites or stores. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please review their policies separately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
